How to stop eating acidic food and keep a neutral pH

You are literally what you eat. Everything we swallow impacts our body in a positive or negative way. And an affected body is an affected mind. The food is in no case dissociated from the body for the reason that once digested, it takes care of forming our tissues, bones and every cell. A good diet is sometimes a thousand times better than therapy or any other harassment. The secret is a clean and appropriate aliments consumed at the right time. Let's call them positive food. So what do you need to know about your body before eating a food? And what is the positive foods you should consume.

About your body

The pH (potential of hydrogen) is neutral (equal to 7) for a healthy organism The more we eat acidic food, the higher our pH. The more we eat alkaline food, the lower our pH.

Therefore it’s necessary to find the right balance. Acidic food such as caffeine, animal protein or sugar cause minerals to be borrowed from vital organs and bones to buffer (neutralize) the acid and safely remove it from the body. Because of this strain, the body can suffer severe and prolonged damage--a condition that may go undetected for years. Human blood pH should be slightly alkaline (7.35 - 7.45). Below or above this range means symptoms and disease. If blood pH moves below 6.8 or above 7.8, cells stop functioning and the body dies. The body therefore continually strives to balance pH. When this balance is compromised many problems can occur.

What is the best kind of food

Fruits and vegetables are the foundation of a healthy diet and a balanced pH. They are low in calories and nutrient dense, which means they are packed with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and fiber.

Try to eat a rainbow of fruits and vegetables every day and with every meal—the brighter the better. Colorful, deeply colored fruits and vegetables contain higher concentrations of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants—and different colors provide different benefits, so eat a variety. Aim for a minimum of five portions each day.

Some great choices include:

  • Fruit. Fruit is a tasty, satisfying way to fill up on fiber, vitamins, and antioxidants. Berries are cancer-fighting, apples provide fiber, oranges and mangos offer vitamin C, and so on.

  • Greens. Branch out beyond bright and dark green lettuce. Kale, mustard greens, broccoli, and Chinese cabbage are just a few of the options—all packed with calcium, magnesium, iron, potassium, zinc, and vitamins A, C, E, and K.

  • Sweet vegetables. Naturally sweet vegetables—such as corn, carrots, beets, sweet potatoes, yams, onions, and squash—add healthy sweetness to your meals and reduce your cravings for other sweets.

We hope that the next time you’ll eat, you’ll better aware of the effects of that aliment on your physical and mental health. Don’t hesitate to let us know which kind of positive food you like most and also to share this article in order to help us create a healthier world.
