Pineapple is undoubtedly one of the most loved and abundant fruits on earth. Its flavor and texture make it a unique fruit of its kind. Here's what you need to know about the pineapple.

What is pineapple?

Pineapple the fruit of a plant called "ananas comosus". With its yellow pulpit and its green or yellow skin (depending on its level of maturity), the pineapple hides its small seeds in its regularly stained pulpit. The cultivation of pineapple is more favorable in dry places.


Where do we find pineapple?

Pineapples are found in all tropical regions such as Brazil, Paraguay, northeastern Argentina, and tropical countries of Africa.


Interesting facts about pineapple

  • Its yellow / orange color comes from a small number of carotenoids: 38.5 μg per 100 g of beta-carotenes and evolves according to the degree of ripening of the fruit. The darker your pineapple, the more mature and the sweeter it is.

  • The pineapple contains the natural sugar which gives you the necessary energy to start your days well. A glass of pineapple juice every morning allows the muscles to wake up and moisturize your whole body

  • Contrary to what one can believe, the fibers and the proteins of the pineapple reduce famine.

  • You can make many recipes based on pineapple ranging from cakes to meals and drinks.

  • It can be consumed fresh or canned. The Hawaiian plantations provide the majority of canned production.

  • Pineapple also has medicinal properties: anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and digestive (it contains a proteolytic enzyme - capable of digesting proteins - called bromelain).
